Supervision

Welcome to this page if you're looking for a supervisor - I hope you find the information you need here. Feel free to contact me by phone or email if you have any other questions or queries, I'd be pleased to hear from you.

I also offer an introductory meeting, at no charge and with no obligation, if you'd like to meet with me to discuss in more detail the idea of working together in supervision.

My supervision qualifications

I hold a Certificate in Person-Centred Counselling from Metanoia Institute, London. I also undertook the Certificate in Supervision training with CSTD London (The Centre for Supervision and Team Development).

I have experience of supervising both individuals and groups, and work with trainee and qualified counsellors.

I'm interested in creating a collaborative relationship with supervisees which will:

  • ensure professional standards are maintained in the service of clients

  • provide a safe learning space where skills and understanding may be developed

  • provide resourcing and support for the individual

If you are looking for a supervisor for the first time, BACP has some helpful resources here.

What is my framework for offering supervision?

At the core of my supervision training at CSTD with Robin Shohet and Joan Wilmot was the Seven Eyed Model of supervision, developed by Peter Hawkins and Robin Shohet in the 1980s. This model provides a focus on seven areas of the therapeutic process:

  • the client

  • the interventions used

  • the client/therapist relationship

  • the therapist's process

  • the therapist/supervisor relationship

  • the supervisor's process

  • the wider context

I use this model which provides a broad framework for exploring all aspects of clinical work.

My fee for supervision is £60 per hour.

You're welcome to get in touch with me, I'd be happy to hear from you.
